A number of e-mails I received following my story today on the resignation of Ronne Froman, the mayor’s No. 2, focused on the Sunroad investigation.
The questions: Will the investigation continue? Why was she named to oversee the Sunroad investigation if Mayor Jerry Sanders knew she was leaving months ago?
I did ask about it yesterday, but didn’t have chance to fit it into the story today.
Sanders spokesman Fred Sainz said she was appointed to head the investigation “because she’s still the city’s COO.
“I believe that it will be wrapped up to pretty close to the time she leaves or even if it’s wrapped up afterwards she will come back to present it.”
