The Grossmont Union High School District board appointed a long-time local education administrator as interim superintendent Wednesday to take over next month, when outgoing Superintendent Terry Ryan retires.

Donald Haught, who previously worked at the Poway Unified School District and served as superintendent of Ramona Unified School District, will fill the post through September, when a permanent district head is expected to be appointed.
