Mayor Jerry Sanders continued to ratchet up his push against the Sunroad building in Kearny Mesa, calling a press conference for 9:30 this morning to demand that the developer immediately bring its 180-foot building under the 160-foot height limit established by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The mayor essentially did the same thing yesterday by issuing a restoration order. That came after he issued an order demanding that all work on the entire project cease and asked that the state attorney general investigate City Attorney Mike Aguirre’s allegations of corruption against the mayor.

Check back later for more details from the press conference.
