Monday June 25, 2007 | I think the follow-up to this article (“San Diego Sewage Beat Goes On“) should outline how the mayor and the U-T have completely raped the term “science” by throwing it around whenever it suits their need, without any actual data. Recycling water to drinkable standards — too risky because current scientific data cannot predict what kind of effects the water will have on humans. Dumping barely-treated sewage water into the ocean where we swim, surf, fish and just generally enjoy life … that’s scientifically proven to be totally safe? I guess I misunderstood what science really means. It’s just whatever the U-T prints.
