Wednesday, June 27, 2007 | Thank you, voiceofsandiego.org, and thanks to the good old First Amendment to the United States Constitution. What a difference a free press makes! Your reporting, blogs, and forums were a key part of bringing Sunroad’s abusive conduct to the public’s attention and helped everyone understand that if it can happen near an airport, that means a well-funded developer can have its way just about anywhere, including down the block from anyone’s house.

Hopefully the message from the city attorney and mayor will be heard loud and clear: obey the law and rules whomever you are, or suffer the consequences. Developers, take note. Your days of running this city have, hopefully, come to a permanent end. For that, I suppose, we can thank Sunroad.
