I’ll follow up with the Library Week soon (I’m working furiously on it), but I just had to take a minute to say wow.
I will admit I was wrong about something: The mayor’s veto is not worthless or merely symbolic. I have held for a long time that the power the mayor has to veto a law passed by the City Council was ridiculous because it only takes the same number of City Council votes to override the veto.

Maverick Donna Frye used the time the mayor gave her, however, to rethink that move. And, sure enough, she changes her vote and the Wal-Mart ban dies.
