Opponents of the Navy Broadway Complex said today they will appeal yesterday’s decision by the downtown redevelopment board to approve designs for some of the buildings slated for the waterfront site.

The appeal will be heard by the City Council, said Cory Briggs, attorney for the Broadway Complex Coalition. The group is already challenging in state and federal courts other aspects of the project, which is being developed by Doug Manchester.

The decision by the Centre City Development Corp. included a stipulation that no further environmental review is needed of some alterations made to the plan. Briggs said his client intends to dispute the decision.
