Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 | Please explain, if anyone can: Exactly what are the legal matters that Peters and his accomplices are being billed for by their attorneys. Now, I know the original reason but I have no understanding of what legal matters are being discussed at this point in time that could be worth $30,000 or $40,000-plus?
After all, this is tax money and the public is entitled to know exactly what these attorneys are doing to earn this largesse.
Are the attorneys short of rent and/or car payment funds? Are they perhaps kicking some money back or is it simply a status symbol for the council members concerned to be able to say, “I’ll check with my attorney”?
