Last month, 3,106 homes sold in San Diego County, a 13.3 percent drop from July 2006, DataQuick Information Systems reported today.
And in a sign of continued tumult in the region’s home market, the sales total marked the fewest homes sold in any July since 1995, when 2,373 homes sold.
The median price for all homes reached $489,000, a 2.2 percent decrease from July 2006 and a 1.3 slide from June’s median.
New homes sold numbered 624, the fewest in any month (not just Julys) since January 2003. Year-over-year, that sales rate dropped 26.24 percent. And from June to July, the number slipped 10.5 percent.
Check back for more on the numbers later this evening.
