Former U.S. Attorney Carol Lam is on the move at Qualcomm, the local wireless chip-manufacturing company. The company’s general counsel, Lou Lupin, resigned today and Lam has been appointed as Qualcomm’s interim general counsel while the company searches for a new lead attorney, Reuters reports.
Reuters writes:
The company, which announced the move on the eve of a key legal hearing over its patent infringement case with Broadcom, said legal counsel Carol Lam will act as general counsel while it conducts a search for a permanent successor to Lupin.
Lam joined Qualcomm in February as senior vice president and legal counsel after resigning her post as San Diego’s U.S. Attorney.
