This weekend, the Union-Tribune reported on the glaring omission of facts in the Sunroad report prepared by the City’s Office of Ethics and Integrity. Eighteen months since the office’s inception and $3.6 million later, I continue to question the real value of this office. 

Can someone who is hired and fired by the mayor conduct an independent investigation?  I doubt it.
