The office of Mayor Jerry Sanders is prepared to release a draft recycling proposal tomorrow, though it’s not hinting at what might be included.

While City Attorney Mike Aguirre has called for the city to adopt a mandatory recycling policy — one that would provide recycling to thousands of apartment and condo dwellers who lack it — Sanders has opposed mandatory recycling, saying the city cannot afford the plan.

Bill Harris, a spokesman for Sanders, said he had not yet seen the proposal and didn’t expect its release until late tomorrow afternoon.

We’ll have more for you then.
