Nearly 1,000 workers for the San Diego County Superior Court sued the court system and the county government for allegedly forcing employees to work overtime and during meal breaks without compensation.

The union representing the workers, the San Diego County Court Employees Association, claims the practice violates the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
