The San Diego City Attorney’s Office filed charges against three men today in connection with the Labor Day beach melee, alleging that the three men chucked beer cans at police officers.

Kenneth Warkocki, a 32-year-old from Gig Harbor, Wash., was charged with assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. Twenty-year-old Andrew Terrell of Santee is accused of throwing 4-to-5 beer cans at police and “picking up a horseshoe stake inciting a violent response from the crowd,” according to the city attorney, and was charged with assault on a police officer and threatening an officer performing duties. Richard Guzman, a 23-year-old from San Diego, is accused of throwing a full can of beer at officers and resisting arrest.

All three men pleaded not guilty, according to the City Attorney’s Office.

(Correction: The original version of this post incorrectly stated the men pleaded guily. We regret the error.)
