Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 | Whether or not Jerry Sanders is an “oaf,” or something else, as a result of the Sunroad scandal, is neither for voiceofsandiego.org nor Sanders, himself, to decide. I believe it was disgraceful for Sanders to return from his Hawaiian vacation and then see the press, one by one, on the Sunroad issues, while he failed to heed the outcry for him to come to a public forum and answer unfiltered questions about his conduct. The public can then decide if the mayor is an “oaf,” or whatever. But, until he faces the public, his hiding speaks very loudly. What’s he afraid of? Tough questions that lack good answers? TV and radio appearances won’t do it. The public deserves more from the Mayor. “Come out, come out, wherever you are,” Jerry Sanders. We want to ask you a few questions.
