A public relations firm working with the Chargers formally announced today that the city of Chula Vista’s stadium site study will be released at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow.

Scheduled to appear at the press conference: Chula Vista Mayor Cheryl Cox, Councilman John McCann, team special counsel Mark Fabiani and local business representatives.

The City Council will then formally discuss the report in a Tuesday hearing.

The report was completed by consultants at Cooper, Robertson & Partners, a firm that previously did work for the city.

The Chargers funded the study, which is said to have cost more than $220,000.

The release of the report will break what had been a long summer slumber in stadium talks, as the team hopes to have a formal site selected soon after the release of the Chula Vista report and a corresponding report in Oceanside.
