Lots of parking integrated with terminals as planned will always best serve the vast majority arriving by motor vehicles.

Recently transit-obsessed SANDAG declared because Harbor Dr. might be overloaded, new access by mass transit was the “way to go” — thus an off-site, multi-mode terminal over a transit line. Drivers would come within eyesight of their destination and have to park as well as transfer luggage, kids, cats, and dogs to some sort of serial conveyance serving terminals. This to accommodate the negligible number who might arrive by transit.

Lets do what travelers want and need rather than trying to sell new transit schemes!
