The City Council will be meeting in Mission Valley this evening to tackle the hot-button issue of mini-dorms.
The council will consider adopting rules designed to curb the crowded living arrangements by requiring landlords of six or more adult tenants to obtain a $1,000 annual permit, which can be revoked if noise violations persist at the residence.
The proposal would also require landlords to provide more parking for their tenants in order to avoid overcrowded streets, a familiar complaint for mini-dorm critics.
The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. at Mission Valley Church of the Nazarene, located at 4750 Mission Gorge Place.
