There’s no answer yet to the question of whether the Museum School, a small charter school, will move into the Children’s Museum as originally planned. Museum trustees have informed school staff and parents that they will make their decision by Friday, according to Museum spokesperson Jessica Hanson.

School director Phil Beaumont asked to postpone the museum’s decision longer, giving the school more time to confer with the museum’s trustees. In an e-mail to parents, Beaumont wrote, “Well, my request for a postponement did not work out.”

Beaumont added that the school was making contingency plans in case the museum space isn’t granted to the school.
