He’s wanted by the FBI, the LAPD, the SDPD and a host of other law enforcement agencies up the coast of California and into Utah.

The “Highway 101 Bandit” is suspected of committing at least 13 bank robberies in California and one in Utah, according to the FBI. The bandit has hit in San Diego three times in the last two months. On Nov. 8 he robbed a bank in La Jolla. Six days later he hit a bank just north in Carlsbad and on Nov. 27 he robbed a bank in Rancho Bernardo.

He’s described as being in his 60s with leathery, tanned skin. He has grey hair and a moustache and is in good shape and clean, according to the press release. He also apparently talks in a “gravelly voice.”

The bandit apparently has been simply walking into a bank and handing the teller a note. On occasion, he shows a weapon, the press release states.

Here’s a photo of the suspect, taken in Sandy, Utah:

Anyone with information about the bandit can contact the San Diego office of the FBI at (858) 565-1255.
