The San Diego County Water Authority posted this map detailing the areas of the county where fluoridated water is being delivered.

Water fluoridation came to San Diego County last Monday after the Metropolitan Water Department, a supplier for the county, began adding fluoride to its treated water supplies this fall. Fluoridation is touted by the American Dental Association for preventing cavities and long-term tooth decay. Critics call the treatment a government intrusion.
