Animal rights activist Rod Coronado pleaded guilty today to “demonstrating the use of a destructive device,” closing a chapter on a saga that began in 2003 when Coronado, in a public speech, described the explosive cocktail he used to start a Michigan fire.
That same day, an arson fire caused an estimated $50 million in damage on a condo development in University City.
Coronado’s case went to trial in September and ended in a hung jury. Coronado will be sentenced March 27, 2008.
