I didn’t say the analogy was perfect — I said it was provocative. It provoked Greg to reflect on the de facto segregation of our region. (BTW, Greg, I once heard someone say that the real boundary between north and south in San Diego was not the border, but I-8). The challenge for folks who find the analogy preposterous is to answer the question, ‘Why is it preposterous?’ Where and how does the analogy break down?
