One of the most important functions of the San Diego County Taxpayers Association is to provide voters with ballot recommendations that we believe satisfy our criteria for accountable, cost-effective and efficient government. Of the seven statewide measures on the Feb. 5 Election ballot, we support five and oppose two. We also evaluated three local school bonds, two of which we endorse.

If you missed Dave Downey’s article on Prop. 91 last week, it’s worth checking out. It helps to explain our position on the measure, despite what you’ll find in the Official Voter Information Guide .

With Super Tuesday less than 24 hours away, I will open up today’s Caf& San Diego to questions regarding state and local ballot measures.
