Many of us have been waiting patiently for an announcement about the Chula Vista bay front. The port and Gaylord Entertainment have been huddling in secret for months trying to salvage the project. So, Tuesday, when I got an e-mail from Gaylord, I thought maybe it was happening. Gaylord doesn’t send out many e-mails.

What was the big announcement?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — February 12, 2008 — Gaylord Entertainment Co. (NYSE:GET) announced today that negotiations between the City of Chula Vista, The Unified Port of San Diego, and Gaylord Entertainment continue to move forward.

Nice. Sounds like fun.
