I just got word that Jim Duffy, current president of the San Diego Deputy Sheriffs Association, will be taking a job as chief of staff for County Supervisor Ron Roberts.
Duffy said the move is a big step for him.
“I think this is a great opportunity for me personally to really expand my skills with county government and step out of this law enforcement box I’ve been in for 26 years,” he said.
Duffy will start work with Roberts on Feb. 29.
