Monday March 3, 2008 | Mother Nature orchestrated a horrible fire last October. Now in the foothills along the north slope of Del Dios Highway, she is giving us a spectacular display of California poppies. With the foothills denuded from the Witch Creek Fire, the apparent dormant seeds were warmed by the sun and like magic, we have this wonderful sight.
