On Sunday, August 20, contributing columnist Rich Toscano will appear on KSWB’s primetime program, Take 5. This will be Toscano’s second appearance within weeks. On Sunday, July 30, Toscano appeared alongside former voiceofsandiego.org staff writer Will Carless, and Charles Jolly, of the San Diego Association of Realtors, to discuss San Diego’s housing prices.

Toscano’s upcoming appearance will again focus on San Diego’s housing boom, and the possibility that the housing bubble may soon burst.

News anchor Perette Godwin, who hosts Take 5, said that the episode that aired on July 30 received so much feedback that they decided to bring Toscano back for a follow-up program.

“Within San Diego, (housing) is a major concern for people; where they are going to live, and can they afford to buy a house,” said Godwin. “Since San Diego prices have jumped so much in the last couple of years, if they (homeowners) have purchased a home they are concerned.”

Godwin added that “a lot of people want to know more, and he (Toscano) is such a good guest, I’m sure we will have him on again.”

Toscano, who covers housing in a weekly column for Voice, has recently launched a new blog, A Nerd’s Eye View.

Toscano says his blog will cover housing, economics, and other relevant issues that may come along.

Be sure to tune in on Sunday evening at 10:30 pm for his Take 5 appearance.
