Thursday, May 29, 2008 | Why is it pension INCREASES for current workers can be decided in closed session, with the blinds pulled, but pension DECREASES for future workers must be debated publicly? Why can’t city councilmembers vote on decreases in secret so they don’t have to risk union attacks just like they didn’t have to risk taxpayer attacks when they voted secretly to give big gifts to unions? Why the double standard?
