The beach alcohol ban may be headed for the November ballot, from the sounds of a news advisory just sent out by City Council President Scott Peters.

Peters and Councilmember Kevin Faulconer will be holding a press conference tomorrow at 12:15 p.m. to talk about “voter choice” on alcohol at the beach.

Officialdom is being purposely vague about exactly what will be announced. However, given that the city’s one-year trial beach ban is due to expire in November, and there is an election in November … well, you do the math.

The presser will be held at the foot of Reed Street, west of Mission Boulevard.
