Wednesday, July 30, 2008 | The feds’ investigation of the Community Development Block Grant funds is simply a replay of Model Cities Program (scandal) in San Diego that took place in the 70s. Apparently the object of most government programs is merely to spend money with little or no accountability — something inherent in the mere act of spending other people’s money. Only in government are people paid not for earning (profiting) but for spending (wasting) it.
