Pam Hardy, spokeswoman for San Diego City Council President Scott Peters, is leaving City Hall for California Western School of Law. She will be the law school’s director of marketing and communication.

Hardy has worked for Peters — San Diego’s first City Council president under the strong mayor/strong council form of government — since January 2006. Prior to joining the city, she worked as a producer for KPBS.

“It’s been an honor to serve with Scott and build a first-ever office of City Council President,” Hardy said. “I’m sad to be leaving, but looking forward to staying plugged in to the legal world.”

Hardy, whose last day is Sept. 12, will be replaced by Michelle Ganon, a La Jolla resident who has worked as public relations professional and freelance writer. Ganon will work for Peters through December, when his term ends.
