Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 | David Washburn‘s article on reform was very interesting.

I thought it was unfortunate that he failed to point out that Stephen Whitburn is a Democrat endorsed by the Democratic Party, especially in light of the fact that you identify his opponent as a Democrat.

The vast majority of developer contributions are flowing into Todd Gloria’s coffers. Why is this not a major concern with a progressive news source such as voiceofsandiego.org? Have you lost your way too?

I was shocked and very disappointed with your past endorsement in District 3 and hope that your reporting is not biased in this regard — this would seriously undermine your integrity as a progressive news source. Have you been bought out by some giant conservative news conglomerate?

Why not quote an anonymous source as saying “Todd can say no to developers” again (which we all know is a lie), so he can take it out of context and put it on a direct mail piece (paid for by developer dollars) and cite voice as the source of the quote!

The truth is that Todd will say anything to get elected, he is just another slick politician and I am sickened that you overlook his ties to developers and lobbyists who want business as usual.

Editor’s Note: voiceofsandiego.org never endorsed Todd Gloria for District 3 nor does the organization support or oppose candidates for office.
