Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 | Questions for the mayor: If we’re in a Stage 1 water alert, why is the city approving new construction to allow more people to move here and use more water? Why is the City watering parks in the day time? Why is the city replenishing water in its swimming pools? If there really is a water crisis coming, then the city government needs to act like it. Otherwise they are just laying the groundwork to raise rates more and more, which we all know isn’t really about the cost of water. How about some answers and behavior changes from you and the City Council? Water is just like your budget … you shouldn’t use it if you don’t have it.
