With former City Manager David Garcia booted for viewing allegedly inappropriate material at work, the Chula Vista City Council has named Scott Tulloch as its interim city manager.

Tulloch has been assistant city manager since July 2007 and was formerly the director of the city of San Diego’s Metropolitan Wastewater Department.

The City Council is currently searching for a replacement, who will inherit a city with a turbulent political environment and serious financial troubles brought about by the collapse of the housing market.
