My esteemed colleague, Scott Lewis, has been blogging incessantly about the economic woes befalling the United States right now and their implications here at home.

He had a post yesterday quoting local Congressman Darrell Issa, who called President Bush’s bailout proposal “a coffin on top of Ronald Reagan’s coffin.”

Here’s a video our media partner NBC 7/39 is hosting where Issa talks to MSNBC’s Chris Matthews about his vote. Check it out. A few minutes into it, he calls Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson a “day trader.”
