Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 | It isn’t surprising to read the rates of water usage by Mayor Jerry Sanders and members of City Council. With this group it’s “do as I say, not as I do.” What really gets to me and other citizens is the proposed 4,800 house Quarry Falls development project that the Council must vote on. I have already suggested that they vote NO.

Can you imagine the water consumption from this many residences? Where the devil is the regulation? It’s not just the amount of water use and possible waste, how about energy use? Electricity will be at a premium.

Do we not already have enough apartments and condos along Friars road?

Come on Mayor and Council, let’s get our act together. We don’t need all this extra housing that will induce more out-of-state migration to San Diego. I know the property taxes are very tempting guys, but taxes don’t keep you alive like water does.
