Mayor Jerry Sanders is planning what his office calls a major address tomorrow that will focus on his vision for his second term and the city of San Diego’s looming financial issues.

The address is to be delivered at a San Diego County Taxpayers Association luncheon scheduled for noon at the Kona Kai Resort & Spa on Shelter Island. This is the first time the Sanders administration has placed such focus on a speech outside of his annual State of the City address, which San Diego mayors use each January to lay out their annual agenda.

Sanders spokeswoman Rachel Laing said this will be the most important speech Sanders has delivered outside of the State of the City. He will address three “very time sensitive issues,” she said.

Update: I confused my notes, and my original post stated that the three issues all were related to finance. Only one of the issues the mayor will deal with is related to finance. I apologize.
