More than 2,300 people showed up yesterday to vote at the county registrar of voters, setting a new single-day record, according to the county.

The registrar’s office was open between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday to accommodate voters wishing to cast a ballot before Tuesday’s general election.

According to a release, 16,750 people have now voted early in the county.

The office is open again today for early voting. It’s at 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite I, in Kearny Mesa, but county Registrar Deborah Seiler is advising voters to go to their local polling station tomorrow because the lines could be very long at the main office.

To find your local polling station, use the polling place locator at the registrar’s website.
