The Centre City Development Corp. will spend $344,000 on the performance audit ordered by Mayor Jerry Sanders.
The agency’s board agreed by a 6-0 vote yesterday to reimburse the city for the cost.
Sjoberg Evashenk Consulting, a company run by a former California state auditor, can begin its audit after the City Council takes action on its contract Nov. 17.
Eduardo Luna, the city of San Diego’s auditor, said the firm’s field work should be done in late March. It will have two months to write the audit report, which is expected to be released in late May or early June, Luna said.
