Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008 | I heard Mayor Jerry Sanders justify to Tom Fudge, host of KPBS Radio’s These Days, why we need to keep redevelopment agencies, despite the stunning corruption — if we didn’t have them, we’d have to send some money to Sacramento.  Tell me, Mayor Sanders, why is it better to send money to corrupt redevelopment agencies instead of Sacramento?   Please explain how the average taxpayer benefits from this.  From what I’ve seen, money that would have gone to Sacramento now goes into the pockets of the connected ones here.  How did taxpayers win?
