Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009 | Leadership is not just defined by sharing good news and a strategy for the future, a good leader takes responsibility and is also truthful and forthright in letting the public know the full story, warts and all. I was extremely pleased with Mayor Sanders’ State of the City address last night. He let us know that we are all going to need to make sacrifices in areas such as water conservation and he made a call for greater volunteerism.

Mayor Sanders still has three years left on his term, and, his roll-up-the-sleeves, get-to-work attitude is what we need at this juncture. I for one am looking forward to hearing more about the Convention Center expansion that he spoke about that will bring more revenue to our city. I want to thank him for his candor, and his ideas to remedy the situation.
