We’ve been enjoying this feature on The New York Times and I thought you might, too. Times reporters and photographers feature an individual in the Big Apple each week in a series called “One in 8 Million.”

The most recent installment, posted yesterday, is a violinist street busker in subway stations who plays with the “Ebony Hillbillies.” (OK, so maybe I’m biased because I, too, am a violinist. But this guy’s a charming character.)

As you might have noticed, I’m fascinated by the stories of what occupies the days and nights of regular people. Watch for the 30th installment of our series, People at Work: A Monthly Look at the Things We Do for Money, coming Sunday evening. Thanks to those of you who’ve sent me your ideas for future features. If you run across any others, please send them to: kelly.bennett@voiceofsandiego.org.
