The San Diego Union-Tribune has changed considerably in recent years.

As I showed in the story I wrote today, about half of its pages have vanished, and news coverage has shrunk as journalists have left the paper, been bought out, or been fired.

What do you want to know about the struggles of local newspapers as they try to stay afloat? How interested are you in the fate of the U-T and other papers like the North County Times and San Diego Reader? And what should these papers do next?

Put your questions and responses in the comments section below or e-mail me at rdotinga@aol.com. I’ll respond throughout the day and also throw in some other tidbits in a FAQ.
