The transit center would provide a bus, trolley and Coaster connection to the airport. Passengers returning car rentals would access the airport after exiting the interstate. Today, rental car customers are shuttled from the airport to individual facilities around the harbor.
Price tag? $569 million to $830 million. The facilities aren’t guaranteed to be built and wouldn’t be until 2015 at the earliest.
