The Union-Tribune’s Terri Somers wrote today about Histogen, an 18-employee San Diego-based biotech that is hopeful about a new therapy for baldness.
Somers reports that the drug, called ReGenica, is the product of a cocktail of proteins that help direct stem cells to become either hair, bone or blood. Results from an early-stage trial showed that ReGenica stimulated new hair growth and increased the thickness of existing hair in men after 12 weeks.
