Terri Somers, who has covered the local biotech industry for the San Diego Union-Tribune since 2003, confirmed today that she has accepted a job with Biocom.
She will be the industry association’s director of communication, replacing Tim Ingersoll, who recently took a job with Carlsbad-based Life Technologies, the company born out of the merger last year between Invitrogen Corp. and Applied Biosystems Inc.
