The San Diego Union-Tribune today said it cut 192 positions from the company. The employees receive two months’ notice and will work until July 6, a requirement of state law when mass layoffs are made.

The reporters cut include Greg Gross, Lola Sherman, Penni Crabtree, Jonathan Sidener, Jennifer Vigil and Ray Huard. Others who were cut include photographer Crissy Pascual, arts critic Lee Grant, family editor Jane Clifford and Mike Crowell, the Night & Day and Street editor.

A newsroom source said approximately 50 employees who were laid off work in the newsroom.
