San Diego Metropolitan Magazine and the North Park News are under new ownership.

The publications, along with magazine website sandiegometro.com, are now owned by REP Publishing, Inc. Terms of the deal, which was completed this week, weren’t disclosed.

The new publisher of both publications will be Rebeca Duff Page, former publisher and an owner of the Del Mar Village Voice and Carmel Valley News, said Bob Page, who heads REP Publishing.

The new editor will be Kris Grant, owner of Coronado Lifestyle Magazine.

Page said the monthly San Diego Metropolitan Magazine will develop a broader, more urban focus instead of primarily following the business world. The magazine is circulated to businesses and homes around the county.

The seller of the publications, Gary Shaw, will depart, as will editor Tim McClain, Page said.

McClain is perhaps best known to local followers of politics as a longtime regular guest on “Editors Roundtable,” a weekly feature on KPBS’s “These Days” public-affairs show.

San Diego Metropolitan Magazine has an estimated circulation of more than 20,000; the circulation of North Park News is 12,500.

Full disclosure: Page is also a voiceofsandiego.org board member. The purchase of the magazine and newspaper aren’t related to voiceofsandiego.org‘s operations.
