Tuesday, June 9, 2009 | It’s hard for me to believe that the City Council hearing on the Port Commission appointment was not another pre-arranged Kabuki dance choreographed to keep out people’s choice, Diane Takvorian. Lee Burdick may be a fine appointment but she will have to learn on the job. I won’t pre-judge. But to say that the manipulations and positions taken by this Council majority are disappointing is an understatement.
